Why is it free?
Because
- It came out of publicly founded research.
- I hope that other people will find it useful too.
- I hope other people will test it and maybe offer suggestions for improvements.
- I spent way too much time on it and I think it would be rather depressing if it all ended up in a drawer.
Why isn’t the source code included?
Because it’s was PhD-Project and having people contribute code to my project would have complicate and maybe invalidated the entire PhD.
